We at JND.MP3 are really looking forward to coming back on July 6th, but we want to know your personal opinions on what kind of topics we should cover in the coming episodes. Any suggestion counts.
Being as it was Ancient Maya that claimed that 2012 will be the last year makes me doubtful. They were a bit eccentric...their nobility drank chocolate regularly for one thing. Although, they did have a very sophisticated system for dates and reading the stars so who knows. Maybe they were on to something and realized something we haven't.
Oo, i was just watching tv and idk what i was watching...lmao... but they have predicted that in September of 2009 hurricane Steve is supposed to destroy all of our gulf oil plants or whatever they call them... and, anyways, this is when bin Laden and his group of extremists decided to blow the hell outta most the oil plants in the middle east. Raising gas prices up to over $20 a gallon and finally knocking us off the edge into the next great depression. someone has a good imagination... be scary as hell if it comes true....
I haven't heard anything about ancient China or the Greeks having the same date, but if they do I'm sure they based it off of the Mayan Long Count Calender. I haven't researched it a lot though, as I think it's nonsense. One thing not too many people are aware of is that the Aztecs believed that our world went through five stages of desruction and creation. At the time of their civilization's total destruction they believed they were in the fifth and final stage of destruction and that very soon the world would be completely destroyed. They even sacrificed humans as a means of delaying the final destruction. They were obviously wrong which shows how much weight should be put into this kind of prediction. It'll just be another Y2K, you'll see.
